Un-Vented Hot Water Training and Assessment
A course designed to give training and awareness and
gain a certificate of competence in the use of mains
water supplied hot water vessel. The course if
designed for operatives who install, maintain
and service this type of system to meet
the requirements of the water bylaws and
Building Regulations G3 which state that
any operative working on Un-Ventet
Hot Water Systems must be
approved by a certification
body having National
Accreditation Council for
Certification Bodies (NACCB)
accreditation and testing to the requirements of the appropriate standard.
The course will give tuition followed by assessment in the following:
- Introduction of Un-Vented Hot Water Systems
- The requirements prior to installation of Un-Vented
- Safe systems of work and permit schemes
- Water Regulations and Building Regulations covering section G3
- Awareness of the types of safety controls that build up the safe operation and installation of an Un-Vented hot Water System
- Correct installation procedures and discharge pipe work installation.
- Idendifying installation faults and general faults with Un-Vented systems.
- Ensuring correct commissioning procedures.
This course will conclude with a discussion section followed by an assessment. This will consist of a question and answer assessment paper and a practical task. Successful candidates will then be awarded a certificate via the Awarding Body.
